NewYork60 was the first multilingual e-commerce website to sell tickets to Broadway shows.
It wasn't Google, Amazon or Facebook.
That being said, only 30% of businesses in the US were women-owned at the time (NWBC). Of those, only 2% broke 1M million in [annual] revenue (Forbes).
NewYork60 was one of those businesses, and it exceeded those figures with a team that, at its biggest, was 10 people. The company went profitable within months of its 2007 launch, grew quickly, operating in over 11 languages, generating 22M+ USD selling tickets to 150K+ customers in 90+ countries. It achieved the top Better Business Bureau rating of A and had offices in New York, Austin, Barcelona and Vienna.
The 26-year-old woman at the helm evolved into a 33-year-old mother, then a 34-year-old mother of 2, then a 37-year-old mother of 3 and, during the prime of the pandemic, became a now 41-year-old mother of 4.
NewYork60 has moved on, and so have I.
Now, I work alongside my partner, husband and the father of my children, launching new businesses and creating new adventures with our amazing kids.
This website is to say goodbye to NewYork60 and to simply say to its loyal customers:
