New Amsterdam Theatre
The New Amsterdam Theater was built in 1903. Upon completion, it became the largest theater on Broadway with a whopping 1702 seats.
In the 1930’s, the theater closed because of the Great Depression, and converted into a movie theater. In 1997, Disney reopened the theater for live performances.
Currently, The New Amsterdam Theater has a capacity of 1,801 seats.
