Top New York Spas

Feel like a day off? Maybe it’s time to check out one of the city’s spas. Here you can find everything from caviar treatments to mud wraps. Below are some of our favorites, check them out!

Spa Castle

Of all New York Spas, this Korean all day spa has had the most buzz recently, featured on tv shows such as Sex In The City and in write-ups almost everywhere imaginable. With saunas, spa rooms, pools, massages and more, it’s no wonder Spa Castle has become the choice for bachelorette parties and other group luxury events . For only $35 on a weekday and $45 on a weekend, you get all-day access to the indoor and outdoor pools, saunas and showers. Other services such as body scrubs ($110/35 minutes), stone therapy massages ($160/90 minutes) and hand-and-foot massages ($70/60 minutes) are also available. You can even order cocktails or a beer – just avoid the steamrooms while drinking.

Mario Badescu

This Midtown East institution has been in operation since 1967, when Romanian-born chemist Mario Badescu introduced a botanically-based philosophy to Manhattan. Now one of the most popular skinkcare spas in the city, countless celebrities count themselves as fans, including Jennifer Anniston, Natalie Portman, Iman, Sharon Stone and Kate Moss. The unique and inexpensive facials are also within the reach of the rest of us, though, the basic European Facial costing only $65. This treatment uses steam to open the pours, includes extractions, a treatment mask and then light massage. Extras like an Herbal Seaweed ($35), or Ginkgo-Collagen Treatment ($30) are also available..

Ohm Spa

Ohm Spa is known for its great offerings and reasonable prices. The spa’s friendly technicians and casual atmosphere make you feel at home, and the services and products rival the top spas. Deep-tissue, Swedish, Shiatsu and sports massage, facials, manicures, you name it, even chemical-free/vegan polish and products.
